What is an AI agent for a construction business?
An AI agent is a digital employee that handles one well-defined task on its own: answering the phone, following up a quote, booking a receipt or requesting a review. It runs 24/7 under your company name, on the channels your customers already use, and costs from €79 per month.
That's a fraction of an extra office worker, and everything is included. Not a chatbot that merely answers questions, but software that actually finishes work: from incoming call to booked appointment, from finished job to paid invoice. We unpack that distinction in chatbot or AI agent: what's the difference.
Which tasks can you reliably automate in 2026?
The rule of thumb: anything recurring, text-based or administrative is reliable today. What is not reliable, and what we deliberately refuse to sell, is AI that judges free-form construction photos or sets prices on its own. The estimate stays with the professional; the agent does the work around it.
Our 13 agents, grouped by what they solve for you:
Never miss a customer again
- Missed-call safety net: missed call → automatic WhatsApp message within a minute; voicemail becomes transcript + summary.
- Voice Agent (AI receptionist): answers live, handles questions, recognises emergencies and transfers to the on-call engineer. Also read: what does an AI receptionist cost in 2026?
- Request intake: smart form on your site or via WhatsApp, including photo and video upload.
More jobs from the same requests
- Follow-up agent: every quote followed up automatically on days 3, 7 and 14; a reply stops the flow. Deep dive: automatic quote follow-up.
- Reviews & visibility: job done → review request with a reminder; new review → draft reply ready.
- Quote agent: record a memo after the site visit → draft quote with line items from your own price book.
Admin that keeps itself up to date
- Admin agent: receipt or invoice PDF → supplier, amount and VAT extracted and booked.
- Receivables agent: outstanding invoices chased politely but consistently, with a payment link.
- Numbers agent: every Monday at 7:00 a plain-language report: revenue, outstanding, quotes, hours.
More on this: automate your admin with AI.
Planning, recruitment and files
- Planning agent: confirmations, reminders and "engineer on the way" messages; hours via WhatsApp → timesheet updated.
- Recruitment agent: QR on the van → WhatsApp application in 2 minutes → scoring → call booked into the calendar.
- Wkb file agent: photos with a short tag → automatically named and sorted per project; handover = one click to a complete file PDF.
- Fault & knowledge agent: faults triaged via WhatsApp (brand, error code, type plate) → self-help or the right engineer with the right parts.

Will an AI agent replace my engineers or office staff?
No. An AI agent takes over the work nobody currently gets around to: answering missed calls, chasing quotes, booking receipts, requesting reviews. Your engineers stay engineers, and your office staff get time back for the work where a human genuinely makes the difference: talking to customers and solving problems.
In practice it tends to work the other way round: at trade businesses that can't find office staff at all, the agent fills exactly the gap that otherwise ends up on the kitchen table at night.
How fast is an AI agent live?
The door-openers are live within a few days: the voicemail bot and the FAQ agent need no setup at all. The voicebot takes one to two weeks, because we train it on your rates, service area and emergency rules, and the conversion website two to three weeks. You install nothing yourself.
We build, connect and manage everything remotely. You supply the input in a single 45-minute conversation.
How do you choose where to start?
Start at your biggest leak, not at the coolest tech. Missing calls? Start with the voicemail bot or the voicebot. Quotes going stale? The follow-up agent. Drowning in receipts? The admin agent. Most businesses start with one €79/month door-opener, see how the agents work within a month, and only then expand.
Not sure where your leak is? In a free AI workflow scan of 30–45 minutes we map it together. No strings attached, with direct advice on which products fit.
